It aims to increase awareness about preserving India's native plants and animals. Mohammed Dilawar, the founder and president, holds a Master’s in Environment and Ecology. NFS's mission is to engage citizens in India's conservation efforts. To achieve this, it launches straightforward initiatives with significant conservation impact.

World Sparrow Day Celebrations
The Nature Forever Society organizes World Sparrow Day annually on March 20th. In less than four years, it has grown widely popular, celebrated in over 40 countries worldwide, and gained traction, particularly in Europe and parts of South Asia. It has developed a dedicated website, www.worldsparrowday.org, featuring a unique collection of photographs and information on twenty-two sparrow species from around the globe, aimed at raising awareness about World Sparrow Day.

State Bird of Delhi
Nature Forever Society advocated for the House Sparrow to be named the State Bird of Delhi. After a year and a half of persistent efforts, on August 14, 2012, the Delhi Government officially declared the House Sparrow as the State Bird of Delhi during the Rise for the Sparrow Campaign initiated by it.
Milestones & Track Record
NFS initiated World Sparrow Day in 2009 which is now celebrated in over 50 countries, distributed 52,000 bird feeders recognized by Guinness World Records, and established a Native Plant Research and Conservation Centre.
