Kiran Girls Scholarship and Mentoring Programme
The Kiran Girls Scholarship and Mentoring Programme supports underprivileged girls in IT and Computer Science, offering INR 40,000 scholarships annually to 40 students through graduation. This initiative includes mentoring, industry exposure, and residential schools in Pune and Bangalore. Students gain confidence and technical skills, leading to successful placements, with 16 graduates employed at Persistent Systems. Since 2010, 401 scholars have benefited, with average salaries of INR 6.5 lakh annually

Water Conservation Initiatives
Comprehensive watershed development in drought-stricken Pune and Nagpur includes deepening and widening streams, constructing cement and earthen dams, and digging farm ponds to boost groundwater levels. The ridge-to-valley approach conserves rainwater by detaining, diverting, storing, and using it effectively from ridge to valley. Open wells were constructed to improve water accessibility, with villagers contributing 10%. This has led to better water management, agricultural stability, crop diversification, improved health, and reduced daily labour for women, enhancing overall productivity.
