Starting with 14 beds in Banjara Hills, it has grown into a modern 82-bed facility in Khajaguda, Hyderabad. Despite limited space, it also offers home-care services, helping around 5,050 people. To meet growing needs, a new 10-bed pediatric ward is planned for young patients. The dedicated team, including doctors, nurses, counsellors, and volunteers, is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care.

Programs

  • Training & Educational programs

    To enhance capabilities and strengthen human resources in palliative care, General Duty Assistant training has been launched in collaboration with skill development institutes. This initiative broadens resource availability and offers livelihood opportunities for disadvantaged individuals. Additionally, educational opportunities for students and volunteers have been expanded through the introduction of the Certificate Course in Palliative Care for Volunteers (CCPCV), developed in partnership with IAPC.

  • Hospice & Home Care

    Sparsh’s new 82-bed facility offers specialized in-patient palliative care for complex symptoms that cannot be managed at home. The facility features beds for children's palliative care, single rooms, and amenities such as an amphitheatre, dining hall, library, physiotherapy room, auditorium, and a landscaped garden for patient and caregiver comfort. For home care, a fleet of six vans provides services to terminally ill individuals, focusing on pain and symptom management, nursing care, and addressing psychological and spiritual needs, along with bereavement support for families.

Sparsh Hospice has inaugurated an 82-bed state-of-the-art facility worth $2.1 million, expanded their home care services to a fleet of 6 vans, and reached the milestone of serving 10,000 terminally ill patients and their family members.
