The Diganta Swaraj Foundation is a group of young tribal people from Mokhada (District Palghar). It was founded by two inspiring people, Adv. Rahul Ti Read morewrekar and Shraddha Shringarpure, felt that social justice, water scarcity, forced migration, and poverty in rural Maharashtra could all be addressed through integrated development. Since our founding in September 2017, we have worked to understand the interrelationships between challenges about the urban, rural, and tribal communities and have done so with empathy. The organisation was established in response to the pressing demand for local leadership development in the social, economic, and development domains. It has been noted that any community, whether urban or rural, involved in the integrated development process needs to demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability.
