It also conducts "Annadana," a charitable food distribution initiative. Additionally, it organises the Indira Sivasailam Endowment Concert at The Music Academy, Madras, providing musicians with a platform to showcase their talents. The concert, free to the public, also includes the presentation of 'The Indira Sivasailam Endowment Medal' to distinguished performers, embodying the foundation’s dedication to enriching the community and preserving cultural traditions.

  • Anwesha – Bala Vidwan Contest

    The Indira Sivasailam Foundation hosted the Anwesha – Bala Vidwan Contest 2019 as a precursor to the annual Indira Sivasailam Endowment Concert at The Music Academy, Madras. Launched in 2018, the contest provides a platform for emerging Carnatic music artists to display their talents. This year, the event featured categories for children aged 10-15 in vocal and instrumental (flute and violin) and introduced an open category for ages 16-20, showcasing impressive performances across all categories.

Held at The Music Academy, Madras, the award recipient is chosen by an expert committee based on performance excellence, audience appeal, classical tradition adherence, innovation, and efforts to enhance public appreciation of Carnatic music. For over eight decades, The Music Academy has been a revered institution in Carnatic music.
