Central to its mission is eradicating hunger, with a special emphasis on women and children, ensuring "no one goes to bed hungry." The foundation is deeply committed to uplifting the poor and marginalised, aiming to create a lasting and significant impact on society.

The foundation has established over 6,000 Nand Ghars across 14 states, benefiting more than 240,000 children aged 0-6 years, 90,000 pregnant women, and over 600,000 individuals through its community health initiatives. Additionally, it has empowered 180,000+ women, provided 100% access to clean drinking water and electricity (via solar panels or grid), and positively impacted over 60,000 animals.

Nand Ghar
Vedanta’s flagship project, Nand Ghar, aims to enhance the lives of 7 crore children and 2 crore women by offering holistic development opportunities. With over 3,000 Nand Ghars established across India, the project bridges the urban-rural divide through health, education, nutrition, women empowerment, and hygiene. The initiative strives to reduce malnutrition, improve health standards, and boost school readiness, transforming the Anganwadi ecosystem and enriching lives.

The Animal Care Organisation
The Anil Agarwal Foundation has introduced TACO, an innovative animal welfare project to establish a world-class, sustainable ecosystem for animal well-being. Guided by the One Health concept, TACO provides top-notch infrastructure, veterinary services, training facilities, and shelters. Its six pillars, shelter, hospital, academy, wildlife conservation, disaster relief, and sectoral engagement, focus on setting international standards for animal welfare. Currently operational in Haryana and Rajasthan, TACO plans to expand across India.
