    • HCL Uday

      Description

      A comprehensive urban CSR program, Uday fosters equitable and sustainable development of the city’s most vulnerable populace. Designing an integrated solution to break the vicious cycle of urban poverty, Uday is empowering not just individuals, it works to uplift entire families. Operational in 11 cities where HCLTech has a presence, Uday is building clean, green, healthy and empowered communities.

      Defined by the three C’s Uday is:

      * Comprehensive: taking an integrated approach, we target critical areas of a person’s well-being - health, education, sports, livelihoods and skilling.
      * Continuous: taking a life-cycle approach, we walk with the community through all stages – infancy, early childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age.
      * Collaborative: taking the convergence approach, we bring communities, non-profits, local and district governments and HCL employees together, leveraging the strength of each stakeholder for the greater good.

    • HCL Harit

      Description

      HCLFoundation launched Harit – The Green Initiative (earlier incubated under Uday - A holistic urban CSR initiative addressing all forms of urban poverty) a distinct flagship program for Environment Action; with the vision ‘to conserve, restore and enhance indigenous environmental systems and respond to climate change in a sustainable manner through community engagement’. Throughout the process, Harit ensures at building scalable and replicable models that are economically viable, socially acceptable, environmentally sustainable, holistic and inclusive.

      Responding to the threat of climate change, environmental degradation, and biodiversity loss, Harit is working urgently to conserve, restore, and enhance indigenous environmental systems. With full participation and stewardship of local communities, Harit develops and designs sustainable measures for climate action.

    • HCL Grant

      Description

      Started in 2015, the HCLTech Grant is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment by HCLTech, through HCLFoundation in India, to strengthen and empower NGOs, engage with them, as well as recognize them for their path-breaking work. Focused on Rural Development, the HCLTech Grant is awarded in three thematic categories, namely Environment, Health, and Education.

      The Grant is designed to support breakthrough award-winning projects of NGOs, that have a proven track record of evident impact, high credibility and distinct ability to deliver. NGOs that reach out to marginalized, isolated, underserved and underdeveloped rural communities in India, and work jointly to achieve sustainable socio-economic development.

    • My Clean City

      Description

      NOIDA is a bustling metropolitan with all the dynamics and complexities associated with one. As the city grows exponentially day by day, so does the amount of municipal solid waste generated within its periphery. With its corporate headquarters in NOIDA, UP and realising that there is a need for long-term vision to manage solid waste, HCLFoundation has partnered with NOIDA Authority to strengthen city’s waste management system and contribute in making it one of the cleanest cities in the country.

      HCLFoundation has launched an initiative My Clean City and intends to carry out works and services to implement effective solid waste management in Noida city.

      Description

      Strengthening the handicrafts value chain, My E-Haat is uplifting artisans.

      Recognizing the power of the creative economy in driving sustainable livelihoods, MY E-Haat works to uplift artisans and small entrepreneurs.

      Introducing them to market trends and customer preferences, the initiative upskilled artisans in new designs and techniques. To help them bypass exploitative systems, the My E-Haat digital platform connects them directly with customers.

      Showcasing our country’s rich heritage and finest handicrafts, www.myehaat.in portal enables thousands of artisans, especially women, leap over exploitative systems and connect directly with customers.

      The initiative engages artisans/primary producers in skill building opportunities, equips artisans with adequate market driven knowledge - technical and non-technical to improve their products, nurtures entrepreneurial talent and creates market linkages.

    • Sports for Change

      Description

      Breaking barriers of poverty, class, caste, and physical abilities, Sports for Change (SFC) offers underserved children and youth opportunities to realize their full potential. Bringing together the many players, SFC is building an ecosystem where social norms are challenged, grassroots talent is nurtured, and aspirations are fulfilled.

      To encourage children, especially girls, and potential para-athletes, SFC has built a robust ecosystem of change. This includes advocating with communities, counselling parents, and providing safe infrastructure. Imparting structured training to build interest in sports, the program offers the right nutrition and equips the athletes with sporting kits.

    • Disaster Risk Reduction and Management

      Description

      Building resilience In the face of inevitable and rapid disasters, the DRRM initiative extends beyond immediate response.With a strong focus on long-term interventions, we are building disaster- resilient communities. Prioritizing multi-stakeholder engagement and a community-centric approach, we strengthen government and community systems. Rigorous training and collaboration in disaster-prone states underpin our efforts.

      This includes initiatives like emergency wildlife rescue in the Brahmaputra valley of Assam, where two dedicated Mobile Veterinary Service (MVS) units operate with our support. Operational since 2016, these units have handled over 3,500 wildlife cases, releasing 60% of them back into the wild.
