Lakshmi Educational Aid Foundation (LEAF), a Bengaluru-based NGO, is driven by the belief that “Education is the solution to most of the challenges we Read more collectively face as a species.” Established four years ago, LEAF focuses on empowering students, farmers, and communities through initiatives in Agriculture, Education, Empowerment, and Environment (AEEE). We have positively impacted over 4,000 students across 50+ schools in Karnataka, distributed over 3000 books to 35+ schools, and initiated transformative programs to inspire sustainable practices. Over the years, LEAF has trained more than 100+ farmers. The organization operates through dedicated chapters in 10 districts of Karnataka and Goa, working closely with resource persons, scientists, and civil society members to achieve its objectives. Issue

1. Educational Gaps: A significant number of students in rural and semi-urban areas lack access to quality education and basic skills. LEAF bridges this gap with innovative programs tailored for all learning levels. 2. Environmental Negligence: With growing environmental challenges, LEAF addresses awareness and actionable change among students and communities to foster sustainable practices. 3. Agricultural Challenges: Farmers face declining productivity and environmental degradation. LEAFLAT integrates modern technology with traditional methods to create a balanced, sustainable farming ecosystem. 4. Resource Constraints: LEAF operates with limited funding despite its impactful initiatives. We aim to secure more CSR and donor support to scale our operations and reach underprivileged communities more effectively.

1. Educational Empowerment: Book Distribution Drive: LEAF provided over 2,000 books to underprivileged students, fostering a culture of reading and learning. Skill Development Courses: Programs like Handwriting Mastery and Vedic Mathematics have been introduced to enhance cognitive and academic performance, benefitting hundreds of students annually. 2. Environmental Awareness: LEAFLET Program: Designed to promote environmental consciousness among students, LEAFLET encourages them to identify local environmental threats and develop innovative, sustainable solutions. The program emphasizes Natural Resource Management, Co-existence, and Environmental Minimalism. Community Awards: Schools and students demonstrating exceptional commitment to the environment are recognized and rewarded annually. 3. Agricultural Innovation: LEAFLAT Program: A pioneering initiative blending ancient agricultural wisdom with modern techniques, aimed at enhancing productivity and sustainability for farmers. Over 100 farmers have been trained in advanced methods under this program. 4. Workshops and Training Programs: Collaborated with schools to conduct workshops on public speaking, STEM education, and life skills. Organized training sessions for farmers to adopt precision agriculture techniques.

    For the last three years, LEAF has developed and distributed Science and Mathematics Guide Books for 10th-grade students, tailored to the Karnataka State syllabus. These guides simplify complex concepts, provide step-by-step solutions, and include practice questions to help students excel in board exams. The initiative supports over 3,000 students, particularly in government and under-resourced schools, bridging the gap in access to quality academic resources.

  • Ramanujan Ride

    This innovative initiative celebrates the legacy of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan and aims to make mathematics fun and engaging for students.
    o Awareness and Engagement:
    Yamaha’s Blue Tricks team organizes thrilling rides to schools while raising awareness about mathematics through Ramanujan's inspiring life story.
    o Storybook Distribution:
    Ramanujan’s storybooks are distributed to students to inspire a love for learning and problem-solving.
    o Fun Mathematical Conversations:
    Engaging sessions with students focus on mathematical puzzles, real-world applications, and motivational anecdotes.

    This initiative connects students with scientists, professors, and industry experts to spark curiosity and encourage a love for science.

     Interactive sessions on scientific discoveries, innovations, and STEM careers.

    Over 2,000 students have participated, gaining insights into real-world scientific applications and career paths.

  • Environmental Education (LEAFLET with ECRO)

    In collaboration with ECRO, the LEAFLET program encourages students to tackle environmental challenges in their communities.
