Rural Outreach Programme
StateIn 1993, ICARE launched a unique Rural Outreach Program through fixed Rural Peripheral Centres (RPCs) to deliver modern eye care directly to underserved communities in Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi's urban slums. Operating on a hub-and-spoke model, the program screens and identifies patients needing surgery at RPCs, transports them to base hospitals in Noida and Greater Noida, and provides free, high-quality diagnostic, surgical, and post-operative care.

Awareness Generation
StateAn ambulance from ICARE Eye Hospital departs early each morning to the designated campsite, staffed with ophthalmologists and paramedical personnel. Patient registration records details such as name, age, and address, and identity cards are issued for future follow-ups. Vision screenings are conducted by technicians, with further evaluations by optometrists for those with subnormal vision. Refraction tests are performed, and glasses are prescribed for best-corrected visual acuity.
Additionally, awareness sessions are held to educate rural communities on common causes of blindness and preventive measures.

Key milestones include establishing the Ishwar Charitable Trust in 1982, opening ICARE Eye Hospital in Noida in 1993, starting a secondary center at Khurja with Rotary Sewa Trust, and launching a secondary centre at ITS Greater Noida with 60 beds in 2014.
