Since February 2009, the IRF India Chapter has worked to improve road safety and sustainability in line with the International Road Federation's missi Read moreon. It collaborates with public and private sectors to enhance road design, construction, and management while focusing on safety, sustainability, funding, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The chapter's Road Safety programme addresses seven high-risk highway stretches (100-150 km each) in states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, aiming to reduce fatalities and serious injuries by creating safer roads through partnerships with state governments and corporate entities.
