Based in Belagavi, Karnataka, the foundation is dedicated to fostering holistic development through the transformative power of sports, with a special focus on the Olympic discipline of Taekwondo. At the heart of the foundation’s mission is Rao’s Yuva Academy, a premier Taekwondo training institute and an initiative of Yakshit Yuva Foundation. Certified with an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, the academy has trained and nurtured young Taekwondo athletes under the expert guidance of Taekwondo Master Rao, an inductee of two prestigious halls of fame. Since its inception in 2012, the academy has achieved remarkable success, with its athletes winning over 650 medals at district, zonal, divisional, state, and national levels. Yakshit Yuva Foundation operates with a mission to instill the values of Olympism, nurture the spirit of sportsmanship, and promote communities' cultural, social, and economic advancement. With a particular emphasis on youth and children under 18, it leverages structured Taekwondo training to shape responsible citizens, foster discipline and resilience, and inspire a lifelong commitment to societal well-being.

Kick & Shout: Self Defense Workshop
StateAn initiative by Taekwondo Master Rao aimed at empowering women has been successfully running since 2016. Participants undergo intensive physical and mental training, learning self-defence techniques specifically curated from the discipline of Taekwondo. This workshop is designed to equip women with the necessary skills to protect themselves in various situations, promoting both confidence and resilience. Over the years, the programme has gained popularity for its unique approach, combining martial arts with mental strength training, making it more than just a physical exercise. Taekwondo Master Rao’s dedication to women’s safety and empowerment has made this initiative a valuable resource, with renowned NGOs such as the Women Welfare Society forming partnerships to conduct the programme at their women’s rehabilitation centres regularly.

Art Attack : Drawing & Painting Contest
StateTaekwondo Master Rao believes that fine arts, including drawing and painting, play a crucial role in fostering a child's mental imagery skills, contributing to their overall development. With this vision in mind, the Art Attack Contest has been held annually since 2019, attracting students from various districts across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa. The competition serves as a platform for young talent to showcase their artistic abilities, encouraging creativity and growth in fine arts. Through this contest, the Yakshit NGO has discovered and nurtured emerging talents, supporting them in pursuing their passion for the arts. A Day with Yoga
StateTo promote the ancient Indian art of yoga for wellness and fitness among Taekwondo athletes and their families during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Taekwondo Master Rao initiated the "A Day with Yoga" programme. The programme focuses on enhancing both physical and mental health through yoga, which proved especially beneficial during the challenging pandemic period. An Escapade at the Woods
This thrilling programme offers an adventurous/edcuational experience for school-going children, exposing them to various terrestrial activities such as rappelling, river crossing, jungle trekking, tent pitching, and basic survival skills in the wilderness. Designed to foster confidence, resilience, and teamwork, the programme equips children with valuable life skills while connecting them with nature. Since its inception in 2016, "An Escapade at the Woods" has been conducted on a biannual basis, attracting enthusiastic participation from students across different schools. The event not only provides a platform for outdoor exploration but also encourages physical fitness, problem-solving, and a spirit of adventure among the youth. Taekwondo Master Rao's initiative has had a lasting impact, helping children develop essential skills and an appreciation for the outdoors.
