The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) is a dedicated organization established to address the skill needs of the Electronics System De Read moresign & Manufacturing (ESDM) industry. ESSCI collaborates with industries, academia, the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), NCVET, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to provide skilling, upskilling, and reskilling solutions. Since its inception in 2012, ESSCI has successfully skilled over 1.9 million professionals across India. Headquartered in New Delhi, this not-for-profit organization was founded by six leading electronics industry associations—ELCINA, IESA, IPCA, CEAMA, MAIT, and ELCOMA. ESSCI focuses on creating an efficient ecosystem for developing and delivering industry-relevant, outcome-based skills. ESSCI is responsible for standardizing, accrediting, and certifying training programs to enhance the global employability of the Indian workforce. Recognized as an Awarding Body by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), ESSCI envisions building a world-class electronics manufacturing industry with a robust skill development ecosystem to empower Indian youth.

  • ESSCI and ABB Collaboration: Smart Centre for Electrician Training

    The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has partnered with the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to advance STEM education in India. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), this collaboration aims to establish STEM Labs, also known as ATAL INNOVATION LABS, in schools nationwide.

    These state-of-the-art labs will provide students with hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, fostering innovation and critical thinking. By equipping students with practical skills and knowledge, the initiative aims to cultivate a future-ready workforce aligned with the demands of a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
