The National Society for Clean Cities, India (NSCC-I) was established in 1972 by Begum Zehra Ali Yavar Jung, wife of the then Governor of Maharashtra. Read more Deeply moved by the unhygienic living conditions in Mumbai’s slums, she envisioned creating a space where children could receive quality pre-primary education while being instilled with values of cleanliness and civic responsibility. With the support of notable personalities like JRD Tata and Keshub Mahindra, NSCC-I set up its first Children’s Complex in Kherwadi, later expanding its presence to Khar and Ghatkopar. The organization is registered under the Societies Registration Act and the Bombay Public Trust Act, continuing its mission to educate and empower children for a cleaner, more responsible future.

    District

    Since its establishment in 1972, the Art Centre has earned an impressive 3,756 awards across local, national, and international art competitions. Many of its talented students have gone on to further their education at the renowned JJ School of Arts and have built successful careers in the world of art.

  • Mid Day Meal Programme

    District

    A wholesome, nutritious mid-day meal is catered to by the Sun n Sand Hotel thrice a week, and twice a week we cook in our kitchen with provisions sponsored by our regular generous donors. The mid-day meal is served to all the children who participate in our various programmes each day.
