This flagship program supports the Government of India’s ‘Transformation of Aspirational Districts’ initiative, aiming to uplift income levels and quality of life for rural communities in targeted districts. Guided by needs assessments, the program focuses on strengthening primary livelihoods, building climate resilience, and empowering women. Key interventions address challenges in agriculture, water, livelihood, health, and education, directly supporting rural development.

The Bank introduced IndusWE—a comprehensive solution designed to support women entrepreneurs in growing their businesses. Tailored exclusively for the women entrepreneur community, IndusWE offers a complete suite of banking products, including loans, fixed deposits, current and savings accounts, and transaction banking services. Additionally, it provides a range of non-financial services through partnerships with various organizations.

IndusInd Bank is dedicated to providing accessible financial services for individuals with disabilities. Key initiatives include:

* Dedicated Service Counters: Lower-height counters are available at branches to better serve senior citizens and individuals with disabilities.
* Accessible ATMs: All 2,956 ATMs are equipped with audio-enabled features, braille keypads, and accessibility ramps, making it possible for visually impaired and mobility-challenged customers to perform transactions independently.
* Convenient Remote Banking Options: Doorstep banking services comply with the standards set by the Banking Codes and Standards Board of India (BCSBI). Additionally, net banking and mobile banking ensure that individuals with disabilities can access services conveniently from home.

Water Resource Development and Management - Focuses on restoring degraded, water-scarce landscapes and enhancing water harvesting capabilities by constructing structural barriers. On the demand side, they address challenges in agriculture through awareness programs promoting adaptive practices, optimal crop choices, soil conservation, and efficient water usage. By revitalizing ecosystems and ensuring water security, these projects positively impact the socio-economic conditions of agrarian communities.

Restoration of Water Bodies - In partnership with local corporations and communities, the company restores and maintains lakes, ponds, and drains, particularly in urban areas prone to encroachment and degradation.

Access to Safe Drinking Water - To address issues with drinking water quality, accessibility, and affordability in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, 40 RO-based Water ATMs have been installed. These village-based, decentralized ATMs provide clean water at a low cost of 30 paise per liter and are managed by the community and local Gram Panchayats.

Renewable Energy - A rooftop solar installation is underway at a hospital, offering a clean energy source that will reduce electricity expenses. This hospital specializes in preventive and curative pediatric cardiac care.

Afforestation - As part of the Bank's Urban Afforestation Programme, 56,000 trees were planted across cities in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Haryana, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. This urban greening effort was facilitated through close collaboration with government officials for land, permits, and resources.

Waste Management - The waste management program in Dehradun has expanded to three additional panchayats, now covering a total of 11 villages.

Primary and Secondary Education Programs
Three key programs support this area, with two focused on providing remedial education to bridge learning gaps in grade-level reading, comprehension, and arithmetic. These programs take a holistic approach to foster the overall development of children in government schools. Additionally, teachers are trained in innovative teaching methods, techniques, and concepts to enhance classroom effectiveness.

Scholarship Programs
Scholarships are offered to deserving students from economically disadvantaged families, enabling them to complete their education. This support is extended through partnerships with Ashoka University, the Foundation for Excellence (FFE), and the Purkal Youth Development Society.

Affordable Healthcare Programs
To ensure timely primary medical care in remote areas, especially given pandemic-related restrictions, e-Health and Telemedicine Clinics were established. In some locations, Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) offer additional access. Local Community Health Facilitators conducted awareness campaigns on health, hygiene, and preventive care, working closely with government healthcare systems.

Specialized Care Programs
Support is provided for screening, diagnosis, treatment, surgeries, and infrastructure needs (such as equipment) for critical, high-cost illnesses, including pediatric and general cancer, congenital heart diseases in children, and HIV. Partnerships are formed with institutions that serve disadvantaged patients on a large scale.

Mother and Child Healthcare Programs
The Bank has launched a Mother and Child Care Program in collaboration with the Odisha State Government's healthcare system. Additionally, a specialized health and menstrual care program for adolescent girls is underway in Telangana.

Employment security initiatives include creating village entrepreneurs in sanitary pad manufacturing and implementing three short-term, job-oriented skill training programs with job placements for youth. These programs have resulted in average monthly earnings of ₹8,185 for participants, and 201 women have been trained as Village Level Entrepreneurs, generating further livelihood opportunities. Among all participants, 45% are differently-abled, and 47% are women.

Additionally, two income-enhancing livestock development programs are underway. The Dairy Farmer’s Livelihood Program in Punjab focuses on income growth through ICT interventions and market linkages, while the Sanjeevani Program in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand provides veterinary care for livestock. Together, these programs reach over 470,000 beneficiaries.

These sports initiatives emphasize inclusivity—promoting gender equality, supporting differently-abled athletes, and providing opportunities for underprivileged individuals—while also fostering sporting excellence. Athletes identified and supported through these programs go on to compete in national and international tournaments, earning recognition and accolades.

COVID-19 Relief Efforts

The Bank allocated nearly 24% of its total CSR expenditure to pandemic relief initiatives. Key activities included:

* Supporting the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) by training 3,000 doctors and nurses in ventilator management for critical care.
* Establishing 1,100 kitchen gardens to support village communities facing mobility challenges during the pandemic.
* Providing online training for 1,000 women micro-entrepreneurs to help them utilize technology for business continuity.
* Donating to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, State Disaster Management Authority, and PM CARES.

Bharat Sanjeevani, the flagship CSR initiative provides livestock farmers with emergency response services right at their doorstep. Leveraging advanced technology, the program reduces livestock mortality and health issues, boosts productivity, and promotes improved livestock management practices. By addressing key challenges like the scarcity of qualified veterinarians and high transportation costs for cattle, Bharat Sanjeevani eases the burden on farmers and supports their livelihoods.

The program operates on a ‘Doctor on Call’ model, enabling farmers to access services by calling a toll-free number to receive timely assistance based on the urgency of their livestock’s needs. Alongside treatment, essential medicines are provided to ensure swift, focused care.
