Daily Sustenance - Special Diet Program
DescriptionMEIL has launched the Special Diet Program at MNJ Cancer Hospital, aimed at supporting children undergoing cancer treatment. Recognizing the challenges posed by chemotherapy and radiation, the initiative provides specialized diets to help improve the children’s well-being during their treatment, reflecting MEIL’s commitment to serving society.

Village Adoption Program
DescriptionIn January 2015, MEIL adopted Dokiparru and Kaaza villages in Krishna District with plans to develop essential infrastructure, including domestic solar power in a microgrid format, a hospital, cement roads, and improved drainage systems. Previously, the company had adopted Jammulapalli village in East Godavari District, implementing various infrastructure improvements. In Telangana, MEIL also adopted Paspula and Muraridoddi villages in Mahboobnagar District, focusing on rural development projects such as road construction and solar power provision.

Community Health
Description1. Advanced Operation Theatre Complex, Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital:
MEIL established a state-of-the-art operation theatre complex at Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital, Secunderabad, under its CSR initiative. Built at a cost of ₹5 crore, the G+1 facility includes 18 rooms, four operation theatres, two autoclaves, special beds in recovery wards, and corporate hospital-level amenities. Greenery was also developed to create a healthy environment for patients.
2. Cryogenic Tanks for Oxygen Supply:
To address oxygen shortages, MEIL imported cryogenic tanks from Bangkok and Singapore in collaboration with the Indian Air Force. These tanks, with a capacity of 1.40 crore liters each, enabled Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to distribute medical oxygen to hospitals in need.
3. Medical Oncology Wing at NIMS:
MEIL constructed a ₹18 crore Medical Oncology wing at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. The facility includes ventilator-equipped beds, a leukemia ward, and high-flow oxygen equipment worth ₹70 lakh to address pandemic-related needs.
4. Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan:
MEIL supports the Swachh Bharat initiative, undertaking cleaning and hygiene activities in 50 villages with sponsorships ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹50,000. The program focuses on creating awareness about public defecation and building toilets to improve sanitation.
5. Tamil Nadu Pandemic Initiative:
MEIL established over 3,000 oxygen-equipped beds across Tamil Nadu, including 500 beds in Madurai within 72 hours. The company also supplied Liquid Medical Oxygen and collaborated with CREDAI Tamil Nadu and G Square Realtors to enhance medical infrastructure, overseen by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
6. Mineral Water RO Plants:
To combat water-borne diseases, MEIL has set up RO plants in adopted villages, ensuring access to clean drinking water and reducing child mortality rates.
7. Sponsoring Toilets:

Daily Sustenance - Saddimoota Program
DescriptionMEIL Foundation, in collaboration with the Hare Krishna Movement, has extended its efforts by sponsoring the ‘Saddimoota’ program, a Telangana state government initiative. This program provides subsidized mid-day meals to farmers and laborers in market yards across the state. MEIL currently supports the program in Siddipet, Gajwel, and Vantimamidi.

Daily Sustenance - Bhojanamrita Program
DescriptionMEIL, in partnership with the Hare Krishna Movement and the AP state government, launched the ‘Bhojanamrita’ program to provide free mid-day meals to attendants of poor patients in government hospitals. Meals are prepared in a mechanized kitchen in Hyderabad managed by the Hare Krishna Movement.
Currently, MEIL sponsors the program at Niloufer and Osmania Hospitals and has expanded it to other government hospitals in Telangana.
