Subhojanam
SUBHOJANAM is a project initiated by the Hare Krishna Movement India, under the trust of HKMI, to provide daily meals to underprivileged patient attendants in government hospitals. Many impoverished patients not only face the challenges of their illnesses but are also supported by attendants who often struggle with hunger themselves. These family members play a critical role in the recovery process, offering warmth and encouragement that can be as vital as medication—especially in life-threatening cases such as cancer. While government hospitals typically ensure that patients receive food, there is no provision for the attendants who support them, leaving these essential caregivers at risk of going hungry.

Anna Canteen
The Anna Canteen initiative, led by the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation, Andhra Pradesh (HKMCF AP), is dedicated to making nutritious and affordable food accessible to all, particularly the underprivileged. By collaborating with government bodies, these canteens operate across the state to serve high-quality meals at subsidized prices. They provide a crucial lifeline for daily wage earners, students, and the elderly—groups that might otherwise struggle to afford proper nutrition. This program is a testament to how community collaboration can effectively address food insecurity while promoting dignity and well-being.
