Since
2007
We are currently operating four free or subsidized English medium schools across four districts in West Bengal. Our vision is to empower families from Read more underprivileged backgrounds by providing quality education for their children—laying a strong foundation that will uplift not only this generation but the next. What began with just six children has now grown into a movement supporting 697 children and their families. The journey was not easy—starting with limited resources and on uncertain ground—but with determination and community trust, our path has steadily become smoother. Today, 697 families have joined us in this mission, recognizing the value of education in transforming lives. While we consider this a humble beginning, our goal is to reach and impact 5,000 children in the coming years. In addition to supporting children’s education, we are also working to improve the economic conditions of their guardians. Through skill-building workshops, we help them become self-reliant. Our approach begins with identifying available resources and existing skills. We then provide specialized training through experts in various fields and continue to guide them through every step—right from training to product development and marketing—ensuring they can complete the full cycle from learning to livelihood.

Child Development
StateUnder the initiative Shaping Life, BGVS was able to purchase land, construct a school building, and is now successfully running a school—Knowledge Provat—for underprivileged children. The school provides not just education, but a nurturing environment through free learning materials, uniforms, nutritious meals, and emotional and moral support.
The smiles, joy, and unwavering commitment seen in these children are the truest validation of the work being done—it is our living certificate of a job well done.
To withdraw support at this stage would be to deny them a future. If we fail to provide these essential resources today, we risk contributing to a society where neglected potential may turn into unrest tomorrow. Investing in their growth now is investing in a safer, more compassionate future for all.

Women Empowerment
StateIn Tiljola, a densely populated slum area in Kolkata, we are actively working with 300 women, helping them gain access to opportunities for empowerment and sustainable livelihoods. These women are now meaningfully engaged in various income-generating activities that support their families and build their confidence.
Arise Education, one of the flagship initiatives of our NGO, has empowered 478 young girls by equipping them with skills to become employable. Today, many of them are successfully placed in government and corporate jobs, creating inspiring examples of transformation through education.
In Darir Jungle, Sundarbans, we launched a unique livelihood initiative by providing 50 goats to local women. Along with the animals, we offered training on how to nurture, feed, and care for them. Over time—typically within 11 months—this project leads to a multiplier effect, increasing the number of goats and creating a sustainable source of income and employment for these women and their
