Recognized for its efforts in tackling complex social challenges in remote regions, the foundation collaborates with corporations and social organisations to execute large-scale Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. With a committed team of 65 professionals, it works across slums, villages, and institutional environments to foster behavioral change and build empowered, self-reliant communities for sustainable growth. The foundation's vision is to transform lives through collective community action, while its mission emphasizes capacity-building initiatives, showcasing replicable community-led models, and enhancing the execution of Government programmes to achieve comprehensive developmental goals.

Impact

The organization has spearheaded rural sanitation efforts by implementing 80% of CAS projects nationwide, conducting 750 capacity-building events across 23 states, training over 48,000 motivators, and helping 5,500 Gram Panchayats achieve Open Defecation Free (ODF) status, while positively impacting 5,560 schools across 10 states and 32 districts through innovative initiatives and strengthening Zilla Swachh Bharat Preraks to advance ODF goals across the country. In urban areas, it has worked in 5 Smart Cities, covering over 1,00,000 households, trained 100 Urban Local Bodies, impacted 100 slums and 20,000 families, formed hundreds of Sanitation Commandos and over 250 Nigrani Samitis, piloted decentralized composting in 185 localities, achieved ODF status for 24 slums in Bhubaneswar, 31 slums in Rourkela, 17 slums on the Puri coastline, 21 slums in Bhopal, and 19 slums in Indore, while reaching out to 13 slum habitations near Aerocity, achieving No Open Waste status for 2 Pilot Wards in Jind, and extending this model to Aurangabad’s Zones 1, 2 & 4.

  • Rural Sanitation Programme

    The Feedback Foundation emphasizes collaborative efforts between rural communities, facilitators, corporations, and Government agencies to drive sustainable change in the water and sanitation sector. Through consultancy services and partnerships, it supports the Swachh Bharat Mission (G) across rural India using Community Approaches to Sanitation. It has organised over 750 capacity-building events in India and Nepal, focusing on sensitizing stakeholders, training trainers, and empowering motivators to promote Open defecation-free communities and total sanitation goals.

  • Urban Sanitation Programme

    The Foundation promotes citizen-led initiatives to enhance sanitation and hygiene in urban areas, aligning with the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). Working alongside Urban Local Bodies, it facilitates the creation of Open defecation-free communities and decentralized waste management systems. Emphasizing source segregation and community engagement, it supports sustainable practices through training, handholding, and strategic planning. These efforts aim to transform cities into cleaner, healthier spaces through replicable and scalable sanitation models.
