Issue
Despite India’s rich heritage of agriculture, handicrafts, and traditional skills, rural communities—especially farmers, artisans, weavers, and semi-skilled workers—struggle with limited market access, outdated techniques, lack of branding, and inadequate income opportunities. By collaborating with highly qualified designers and trainers, including alumni from NIFT, MIT, NID, and other prestigious institutions, KKF helps preserve traditional heritage while integrating modern, sustainable practices. The foundation works on project-based initiatives with Jeevika SHGs, government bodies like NABARD, NSIC, EPCH, DCH, UPIDR, and NDC, and other stakeholders to improve market linkages, enhance production techniques, and generate alternative income sources. Through these efforts, KKF is creating lasting, positive change in rural communities across India.
