Pranjal Disabled Residential School, Sarangarh
District
Raigarh
States
Chhattisgarh
For many children with disabilities in the newly formed district of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh (formerly part of Raigarh), the world stops at their doorstep. Viewed as "burdens," they are often hidden away, their potential locked in silence.
Our School is the key to that lock.
We are not just a classroom; we are a 24/7 home. Here, trained special educators become "second parents" to children with Hearing Impairment, Visual Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, and Intellectual Disabilities.
The Process: We don't just teach A-B-C; we teach life. We guide trembling hands to hold a spoon, strengthen weak legs to take their first independent steps, and help silent voices speak their first words.
The Goal: Our aim is simple but profound—to turn "dependency" into "dignity," ensuring that when these children walk out our gates, they walk with their heads held high.

Chhattisgarh
In the rural heartland of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, the traditional joint family is fracturing. As younger generations migrate for work or struggle with poverty, the elderly who built our past are often left behind—alone, hungry, and forgotten.
Our Old Age Home is their second chance at family.
We do not run a facility; we nurture a home. For destitute senior citizens who have been abandoned on the streets or in empty houses, we step in as the sons and daughters they lost.
The Care: Beyond providing a safe bed and nutritious meals, we heal the invisible wounds of loneliness. Our staff provides regular medical checkups, nursing care for the bedridden, and recreational activities to keep their minds active.
The Promise: We ensure that no elder faces their sunset years in fear. Here, they find laughter, companionship, and the assurance that when their final moment comes, there will be a warm hand holding theirs.

Impact
Since 2006, Pranjal Welfare Foundation has transformed from a small local initiative into a lifeline for the most vulnerable across Chhattisgarh. Here is the footprint of our care: 200+ Special Lives Unlocked: We have provided comprehensive rehabilitation, therapy, and residential education to over 200 children with special needs. The Impact: These are not just students; they are children who moved from isolation to independence, many learning to walk, speak, and manage daily tasks for the first time. 100+ Elders Sheltered with Dignity: We have served as a sanctuary for 100+ destitute elderly citizens. The Impact: For those abandoned by their kin, we provided not just a roof, but a family—ensuring their twilight years were spent in peace, medical safety, and emotional warmth. A Safety Net Across 6 Districts: Our outreach has expanded beyond Sarangarh, creating a corridor of care across Eastern and Central Chhattisgarh. We now serve beneficiaries from: 1. Sarangarh-Bilaigarh 2. Raigarh 3. Sakti 4. Janjgir-Champa 5. Mahasamund 6. Baloda-Bazar-Bhatapara Our Promise: Behind every number is a beating heart that found hope because we were there.
