Its primary areas of activity encompass education, community development, healthcare, and socio-economic advancement, with a special emphasis on rural tribal individuals, both men and women, as well as children living in impoverished rural regions. IM strives to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of rural populations through collaborative efforts with government entities and partnerships with NGOs, NPOs, VOs, and other development agencies. Recognizing the ubiquitous role of the internet in modern life, IM has launched an official website to facilitate communication and information sharing with various stakeholders, including social groups, NGOs/NPOs, VOs, Government bodies, and the general public. This website serves as a vital platform to disseminate information about IM's plans and activities, thus contributing to the achievement of its mission and objectives.

Arunachal Indigenous Mission School Programme
Arunachal Indigenous Mission School, located in the serene Upper Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh, offers a quality education to both boys and girls since its establishment in 2000. The school's mission is to impart knowledge and wisdom to economically disadvantaged rural and tribal children, ultimately transforming their communities through education. Recognized as a pre-primary to primary section residential school by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, it serves as a beacon of knowledge and wisdom in the eastern Himalayas, guiding future generations towards a brighter future.

Indigenous Mission focuses on empowering socio-economically disadvantaged tribal rural and semi-urban communities through the organisation of Self Help Groups. These groups aim to enhance income generation activities and promote economic awareness among individuals, with a particular emphasis on addressing issues of backwardness and promoting women's empowerment. The organisation's Board of Directors oversees these efforts, working towards improving the livelihoods and economic well-being of the communities it serves.
