Deepalaya is a non-profit voluntary organisation established in the year 1991 as a rehabilitation unit offering OPD services to the mentally and physi Read morecally challenged individuals. The year 1999 marked the legal registration of Deepalaya as a Charitable Society under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 ; registration dated: 11-12-1999. Deepalaya as a civil society organisation was established to promote voluntary actions at the grass root level, in the field of care and rehabilitation of persons with disability, women empowerment, promotion of women and child rights, employment opportunity for rural and semi urban women. Deepalaya has rendered its services through promotion of sustainable, equitable and participatory development, social welfare and justice through women empowerment programs, promotion of livelihood among women by SHG formulation, Rehabilitation Center for Person with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation(IDD) and Multiple Disability and contribution to social welfare policy and program at State and National Levels. VISION: We envision equal opportunity, protection of rights and full participation for person with disability, women, children, and minorities. MISSION: To advance social and economic development by engaging in targeted professional activities, fostering inclusivity for individuals with diverse abilities, marginalized communities, and disadvantaged groups, while advocating for equality, social justice, and human rights.

Impact

Deepalaya has worked for over 25 years in Purnia and surrounding areas, providing care and rehabilitation facilities to persons with disabilities, women, and adolescent girls.
