Registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, ASHI's Punjab State Branch operates across seventeen districts in close collaboration with district Deputy Commissioners' wives and prominent social workers. Its activities encompass a wide range of initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare of women and children, striving to contribute to the creation of a healthy and joyful society.

  • Short Stay Home Programme

    The ASHI Punjab State Branch operates three Short Stay Homes, namely Sanjeevni, Savera, and Sahara, sanctioned by the Government of India. These homes offer shelter, rehabilitation, medical care, and vocational training to destitute women and girls facing various challenges. Inmates receive accommodation, meals, and vocational education such as crafting leather goods, purses, and more. The association's focus is on empowering these women economically and socially, equipping them with skills for independence and potential marriages, all supported by government grants.

  • Counselling Services

    ASHI has established four Counselling Centres in different districts as part of its comprehensive programme. These Centres, situated in Jalandhar (including Sanjeevni Home and Police Line), Hoshiarpur, and Faridkot, serve a vital role in addressing marital disputes by means of mediation and conciliation. ASHI is dedicated to empowering rural women through its Welfare Programmes, fostering their self-reliance and enhancing their active involvement in various socio-economic initiatives. By focusing on creating awareness and offering support, ASHI seeks to uplift these women and enable them to contribute significantly to broader community development efforts.
