Project Udaan
An initiative where the foundation works with over 32 government schools under the category of Alternative Innovative Education (AIE). These schools explore different alternatives in education to encourage the creativity of the child and develop their natural interest towards learning. These schools are engaged in creating and using innovative teaching methodologies to ensure that rote learning does not happen. The target group is children between 6 to 14 years who have never gone to school, from economically deprived families of migrants, daily wage earners, construction workers, and domestic servants. Newly enrolled children who have never gone to school are first taught hygiene and told stories before they start learning the curriculum. To maintain quality, the centers are regularly visited, and attendance, hygiene standards, intelligence engagement, and confidence levels of the children are observed.
