Ramakrishna Mission

It operates 14 hospitals, 116 dispensaries, 57 mobile medical units, and 7 nursing training institutes. Regular medical camps and eye camps are conducted for rural and underserved individuals. Its dispensaries in specific locations also offer leprosy case detection and treatment. Maternity and child welfare services are extended through hospitals in various cities, along with select dispensaries.

It engages in relief and rehabilitation endeavours during both natural and man-made calamities, encompassing efforts such as cyclones/storms, distress, flood, fire, earthquake/landslides, winter, and medical relief. Rehabilitation encompasses the construction of houses, townships, bridges, and roads to aid affected communities.

It extends services in rural and tribal regions encompassing diverse initiatives such as well/pond excavation, tube-well and water filter installation, agricultural camps, Farmers’ Fare (Kisan Mela), distribution of seeds, saplings, and fertilizers, soil testing, wasteland development, check dam construction, animal resource enhancement, health and hygiene awareness programmes, school and community hall construction/repair, renewable (solar) energy unit provision, and vocational courses in dairy, poultry, horticulture, handicraft, tailoring, welding, and computing.

It operates approximately 1200 educational establishments, encompassing a Deemed University, colleges, schools, training institutes, and centres for non-formal education and coaching.
