Aawahan, known as "The New Voice," is a Delhi-based NGO founded in 2014. Led by Ms Ranjana Singh, the organisation focuses on holistic development, in Read moretegrating environmental studies, biosciences, and socio-economic progress. Aawahan's democratic structure involves an elected Governing Council and general members. The NGO's objectives encompass empowering marginalized communities, particularly women and Dalits, through income generation and microfinance initiatives. It advocates for gender equality, disaster management, and worker awareness. Aawahan expresses gratitude to supporters, including administration, local bodies, donors, and self-help groups, highlighting their crucial role in driving positive societal change.

Humanitarian Programmes
Since 2014, it has been involved in a diverse array of endeavours. These include providing vital assistance like food and clothing during flood situations, actively participating in nationwide initiatives such as the National Environmental Awareness Campaign, and contributing to essential health campaigns like Pulse Polio and AIDS protection. The organisation has also taken a proactive role in environmental conservation through active engagement in Tree Plantation and Pollution Control Campaigns. In addition, it has made strides in empowering the community by organising competitions, exhibitions for children, and actively participating in programmes aimed at countering social issues and illiteracy in rural and slum areas. Through its dedicated efforts, it has supported communities during earthquakes, played a role in women's empowerment programmes, and enriched its activities through valuable UNICEF training.
