About

ActionAid Association India works for the human rights of women by providing them counselling and legal aid to resist violence and by supporting them Read morein regaining control of their lives. It promotes children's rights to education, nutrition, safety and protection along with overall well-being. It creates awareness for saving the girl child and advocates the right to equality. The organization also works for the citizenship rights of minorities and underprivileged communities. It works to build leadership and livelihood skills among youth in the communities to eradicate poverty, distress-migration and bonded labour. It encourages Dalits, Adivasis and women farmers to practice sustainable forms of agriculture and community-led mechanisms for the conservation of natural resources. It also spreads awareness about people's rights over land, livelihoods and public commons. The organization also works with various State Governments and policymakers to formulate policies supporting gender equality, stronger land rights and property rights, especially for women with a secular approach towards all.
