With a focus on holistic developmen Read moret, the Foundation prioritizes Education, Health, Skill, Training, and Placements for all demographics. Its centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh extend its reach across five states in India. By running over 25 projects, the organisation targets deprived communities lacking access to basic resources, including women, children, senior citizens, the physically challenged, orphans, and the destitute. The Foundation empowers individuals, fostering independence, self-reliance, and the preservation of human dignity. It works alongside underprivileged communities, motivating them to solve their own challenges and achieve social and economic progress through practical assistance such as information, advice, capacity building, training, and support. Collaborations with Government bodies and corporations have brought about tangible changes, while future plans aim to expand the foundation's nationwide impact. Asha Deep Foundation is devoted to empowering individuals to shape their own futures.

Impact

Asha Deep Foundation has made an impact, benefiting 17,658 individuals in education, 432,658 in community health, 18,346 in livelihood, 9,542 in residential and hostels, 345 in daycare centres for differently-abled, 643 in daycare centres for senior citizens, and 12,748 children from the waste picker's community, along with the wider community development involving 623,674 individuals.

Programs

  • Education Programmes

    The Asha Deep Foundation runs various educational initiatives, including the St. James Convent Pre-School and St. James Convent School for underprivileged children. These programmes provide quality education to children from disadvantaged backgrounds, including orphans, minority children, and those with disabilities. Additionally, the Foundation offers an Early Childhood Educational Programme called Gali-Pre-School, focusing on the holistic development of children through creative teaching methods. Another initiative targets the education of children from the rag pickers community, providing formal education, recreational activities, and remedial classes.

  • Community Development & Rehabilitation Programme

    The Asha Creche project supports children whose parents are involved in rag picking, offering them a safe and nurturing environment while their parents work. The goal is to lay basic educational foundations and cultivate a sense of enthusiasm for learning. Similarly, the Asha After School Support Project provides education and recreational activities to rag-picker children, aiming to prevent drug abuse. Additionally, the Foundation offers psycho-social care, guidance, and counselling to underprivileged children, youth, and women, focusing on mental and emotional well-being and healing through age-appropriate methodologies.

  • Day Care Centre Programme

    The Asha Care Centre for Special Children focuses on the holistic development of underprivileged children with special needs. The centre provides emotional support, formal education, and extracurricular activities to nurture their physical, mental, social, cultural, and spiritual growth. Asha Deep Foundation aims to build confidence and self-reliance among these children, rehabilitating them into mainstream society with respect and dignity. Similarly, the Asha Care Centre for Senior Citizens welcomes elderly community members, providing a daycare facility that improves their quality of life and offers emotional and mental support, especially for those who are neglected or abandoned by their families.

  • Children's Development Programme

    The CHILDLINE 1098 is a 24-hour helpline service provided for children in need of care and protection. Affiliated with the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, this emergency service assists missing, abused, runaway, and medically vulnerable children. Asha Deep Foundation has collaborated with the Ghaziabad police and Childline India Foundation since 2010, successfully implementing the programme and restoring 29,600 children so far. The Foundation also offers educational sponsorships and medical assistance, working alongside hospitals, shelter homes, schools, and de-addiction units to support children affected by issues like child labour, child marriage, and drug abuse.

  • Community Health Programmes

    The TB-Control Programme by Asha Deep Foundation addresses the high prevalence of tuberculosis in the Shahid Nagar community. The Foundation operates a Designated Microscopy and Treatment Centre (DMC) under the national RNTCP, offering DOTS therapy and counselling to patients. The programme provides health services, medication, and follow-ups to help patients recover. Additionally, Asha Deep Foundation focuses on sensitizing the community to create a healthier living environment collectively. The foundation also offers General OPD Services at its Community Health Centre, bridging the gap in affordable healthcare for the local community.

  • Residential Programmes

    The Ashaniketan Boys & Girls Home provides residential care and support to orphaned, destitute, abandoned, and lost boys aged 10-18 years. Established in 1994, the home offers love, care, and comprehensive support for the children's educational, psychological, emotional, spiritual, social, and health needs. The Ashadeep Boys & Girls Hostel caters to boys aged 6-18 years whose parents are incarcerated, providing a nurturing environment for their holistic development. These initiatives by Asha Deep Foundation aim to rehabilitate and integrate these children into mainstream society, offering them a better future.
