Group Based Programmes
Avaam Progressive Mission focuses on group-based programmes for economic growth. Recognizing the challenges of limited Government jobs, less lucrative private employment, and the complexities of starting a business, the NGO provides assistance across India. By forming Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), individuals become part of a collective with access to knowledge, financial support, and abundant opportunities through the organisation's expertise. SHGs consist of 15-20 members from similar socio-economic backgrounds, receiving loans from Government and financial institutions to initiate small enterprises, generate employment, and expand their financial stability. JLGs, comprising 5-10 members with similar backgrounds, share liability and guarantee for each other, encouraging mutual support and responsibility in case of defaults, ensuring successful outcomes for all involved.
