Bal Vikas Dhara (BVD), a registered Non-Government Organization, has been actively working for over three decades in Delhi NCR, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Read moreparts of Haryana. Its focus areas include child development, women empowerment, youth employability, waste management, and community empowerment, with a special emphasis on workers in the unorganized sector such as ragpickers and daily wage laborers operating in exploitative environments since its inception in 1993. BVD empowers women entrepreneurs and youth by providing training, motivation, and skill-building programs. These initiatives encourage participants to critically analyze challenges and devise actionable solutions for their growth. The training programs utilize participatory learning methods, ensuring that activities related to environment, health, education, and collective employment address local needs and issues effectively. The organization has established collaborations with various national and international NGOs, government bodies, and other agencies, offering consultancy, training, and support services. Mission - BVD works towards empowerment of the marginalized communities with special focus on women and children by creating awareness on the causes leading to denial of rights and asserting those rights as collective group with a commitment to build a responsible civil society just governance impact. Vision - Bal Vikas Dhara envisaged a prosperous society based on social Justice and equal rights for all. BVD has also conducted numerous research studies addressing critical social issues. Key projects include: * A study on the rights of ragpickers in Delhi (2008). * A national-level survey on the quality of education in India (2000). * Studies on domestic women workers' issues (2005, 2012). * A door-to-door survey on the status of slum populations and economically disadvantaged groups (2009–2011). * An evaluation of toilet facilities in primary schools focusing on girls' safety (2013). * A baseline study in collaboration with Offbeat Innovations Management (2010). * An assessment of water quality in Delhi in partnership with CMS Delhi (2013). * BVD continues to contribute significantly to community development and research in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Child Marriage Free India
Bal Vikas Dhara (BVD) is committed to uplifting marginalized communities, including underprivileged rural women, individuals with disabilities, child laborers, and victims of trafficking and violence in Delhi NCR. The organization actively addresses critical issues such as child marriage, child trafficking, child labor, and child sexual abuse.
As part of its efforts, BVD has been instrumental in organizing and participating in the Child Marriage Free India Campaign. This initiative spans all 11 districts of Delhi NCR and 12 districts in Bihar, working to create awareness and drive meaningful change under its dedicated project framework.
