We have been teaching underprivileged children in Delhi, Gurgaon and Faridabad since April 2008 and our education program targets children studying in Read more classes I to 10 in govt schools. Currently we teach 653 children in two slums of Delhi, two villages of Gurgaon and one village of Faridabad. Quality of education is not satisfactory in govt schools hence this program complements the gaps in school education and sustains the interest of children and their parents in formal education system. Due to this program children are regular in schools and they do not drop out. They understand subjects better and are able to handle class assignments properly. Classes are conducted in slums and villages after school hour i.e., from 2 pm to 7 pm. We conduct remedial classes for those children who live in slums/villages and study in govt schools. Currently we run six centres for primary, four centres for secondary and one centre for non formal education.
