The Draupadi Dream Trust is dedicated to preserving and promoting the ancient Indian civilization and cultural heritage, with a special emphasis on th Read moree Vedic and Mahabharata eras. Named after the historical Panchala Princess, Draupadi, it operates as a charitable organisation. It empowers women, youth, and local communities, enabling them to become self-sufficient contributors to their families and society. The Trust's approach blends heritage and modernity, enriching individuals' lives culturally, economically, socially, and spiritually. Inspired by Draupadi's legacy, it works in her birthplace, Kampilya, and Indraprastha, alongside other regions in India. It employs advocacy, awareness, and training to achieve its goals. Its programmes and projects are meticulously designed through research to harness local resources and address specific needs, aiming to rejuvenate rural resources, alleviate poverty, and generate new income opportunities. Notable achievements include excavations and a successful Panchala Mahotsav for their 10th anniversary, an Indraprastha Festival, and the publication of 'Indraprastha Revisited.' In its 15th year, it celebrated Ganga Utsav 2018 to underscore the importance of the Ganga River in shaping Sanatan Dharma and India's universal heritage.

Ganga Utsav Programme
The exhibition "Ganga Utsav," hosted at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, delved into the historical dynamics of the Ganga's rise and the associated Ganga culture, addressing key facets of the river's significance. The trust's primary goal was to rekindle the profound cultural connection with Mother Ganga for the well-being of present and future generations. This exhibition revealed the diverse dimensions of Mother Ganga, tracing her journey alongside humanity, adapting and responding to actions. It also highlighted Ganga in literature, archaeology, geology, cities along its banks, art, tradition, rituals, and societal impact, as well as foreign accounts.

Dukh Draupadi ka - Book
Seeking to delve into the 'anguish and turmoil' endured by Draupadi and to confront the multitude of unfounded beliefs that have shrouded this iconic figure, it presented "Dukh Draupadi Ka." Authored by Miss Neera Misra, this composition is inspired by her personal encounters with prevailing public perceptions of this esteemed character. It serves as an illuminating exposé on the unjust treatment that Draupadi was subjected to and aims to dispel any misconceptions surrounding her legacy.

Cultural Programme
As part of Draupadi Dream Trust's initiatives to promote authentic Indian Classical dances rooted in the telling of Puranic Tales and Itihasa, a unique narrative was developed featuring Draupadi and Krishna in dialogue. This presentation aims to dispel misperceptions surrounding Bharata Itihasa by highlighting various episodes from Draupadi's life and addressing the misinterpretations that have led to historical misunderstandings. The Trust successfully showcased this Kathak Dance Drama in Delhi (at IIC and Army House) and extended its reach to the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Draupadi's place of birth.

Mahabharat Manthan Seminar
IGNCA, in partnership with the Draupadi Dream Trust, organises the inaugural Mahabharata Manthan event, encompassing exhibitions, cultural performances, and an international conference. This programme aims to provide a comprehensive examination of various facets of the Mahabharata, fostering critical discussions among scholars and the intellectual community. It focuses on a thorough reevaluation of both tangible and intangible heritage related to the Mahabharata and features an exhibition showcasing significant Mahabharata-associated locations.

Ganga Maa Tuje Pranam Programme
In commemoration of its 15th year dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the ancient Vedic culture, history, and civilization, the Draupadi Dream Trust orchestrated Ganga Utsav 2018. Under the theme 'Ganga Maa Tujhe Pranam,' the event aimed to underscore the vital role of the Ganga River and revive cultural reverence to ensure its cleanliness and continual flow. Ganga Utsav commenced on December 5, 2018, at the prestigious 11, Mansingh Road location.
