Hindustan Unilever Limited is the founding member of this initiative. The Centre's primary areas of emphasis include climate and sustainability solutions, such as climate risk assessment and ESG implementation, and ecosystem-based solutions like biodiversity conservation and regenerative agriculture. It also places a strong focus on integrating sustainability and climate resilience into small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

CSR Programme
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) traditionally revolved around philanthropy, but the evolving CSR paradigm emphasizes moving beyond charity. FICCI, through its two entities, the FICCI Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence (CSRCFE) and the FICCI Socio-Economic Development Foundation (SEDF), has a longstanding commitment to designing and implementing CSR programmes. These initiatives are conducted in collaboration with corporations, development organisations, and local communities. FICCI has also played an instrumental advisory role in helping organisations formulate relevant CSR strategies and holds the distinction of being the first in India to establish CSR Awards in 1999.
