It originated in response to the rising demand for trained workers across various sectors, starting as a pilot programme for the textile industry and growing into a major player in vocational training nationwide. The organisation is dedicated to providing skills training programmes to diverse groups such as students, unemployed youth, trainers, and the existing workforce. Its efforts focus on fostering inclusivity and boosting employability, employment rates, and productivity. With a network of over 150 skills institutes across 21 states, Learnet Skills Limited has reached challenging regions like Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected districts, remote areas, and backward regions, catering to an annual training capacity of 2 lakh youth in over 20 sectors and 95 job roles. Through partnerships with various government departments, employers, corporations, and universities, it has successfully impacted 2.1 million people, with 40% of its trainees being women, many of whom are first-time entrants into the formal workforce.
