Programs

  • Segregation Of Waste For Recycling And Treatment

The Project Segregation of Waste for Recycling and Treatment is a flagship initiative of the Motherson Group under its CSR efforts, managed by Swarn Lata Motherson Trust (SLMTT) and implemented by the Indian Pollution Control Association. Launched in 2018, it has now reached its fourth phase, covering over 50 locations in Delhi NCR (Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram).

The project promotes source segregation of waste and onsite treatment of organic waste, focusing on awareness, training, and capacity building to encourage behavioura change and increased waste segregation. A key component is the installation of over 200 Aerobins at these locations. These composters require no energy input, utilizing kitchen or garden waste and thermal insulation for rapid biomass breakdown through aerobic decomposition. They are odour-fre, with compost ready in 40-45 days. The Aerobins, with 200L or 400L capacities, are maintained by designated operators responsible for feeding waste,

  • The Bottles for Change Programme

The Bottles for Change Programme, initiated by Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., aims to raise awareness about the importance of waste segregation and plastic recycling. IPCA implements this program in Delhi NCR, ensuring the collection and recycling of clean post-consumer plastic to protect the environment. The program encourages behavioural change by fostering recycling habits and reducing plastic use. Recycled plastic is repurposed into products like furniture, handbags, window blinds, and fabric.

    Key Activities:
Educate citizens on proper plastic disposal and recycling habits.
Enable waste workers to collect clean plastic from waste generators.
Sort and recycle plastic waste at segregation centres.
Provide waste workers with hygienic working conditions and improve their economic status.
