Works towards improving the health of both the mother and the unborn baby by emphasizing strategies recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Encourages pregnant women to attend a minimum of four antenatal care visits. These visits provide essential health monitoring and support, enabling early detection and management of any potential risks or complications. Adequate iron and folic acid intake during pregnancy is crucial for the prevention of anaemia and neural tube defects. MAMTA promotes the consumption of at least 90 IFA tablets to ensure proper nutritional support for both the mother and the developing baby. The organisation emphasizes the importance of receiving two or more TT injections to protect against tetanus and ensure a safe delivery. It also organises session to educate the mother labour signs, identification of a skilled birth attendant, and ensuring access to a clean and safe delivery environment.
