Mother Concern

Mother Concern's project focuses on women's reproductive health, economic opportunities, education, skills development, and linkages building for overall empowerment. Sensitization efforts address violence against women, emphasizing marital and legal rights. The NGO promotes economic independence through skill development, particularly for young girls in typing, tailoring, or beauty culture. By empowering women and fostering economic participation, Mother Concern contributes to the nation's development, enabling women to voice their opinions in decision-making at home and beyond. The NGO works collaboratively to address global crises affecting women, including wars, environmental destruction, poverty, and gender-based violence.

Mother Concern strives to ensure a healthy life for mothers. Health, beyond biological aspects, is influenced by social, political, and economic forces. It encompasses physical, mental, and social well-being, dependent on factors like access to nutritious food, clean water, medical care, and levels of violence and stress. Addressing gender disparities and biases, Mother Concern systematically empowers women in India. Adopting a life cycle approach, the NGO focuses on improving women's and child health through community-based organisations, knowledge enhancement, and skill development for practitioners. Training programmes contribute to creating a knowledgeable community.
