“NIPUN” - a Hindi word, meaning ‘one who is skilled’ - is a Non Government Organization founded primarily to enhance quality of life of the poor and t Read morehe vulnerable, by a group of socially conscious development workers. Since 2005, NIPUN has improved the lives of hundreds of children by providing them access to quality education & healthcare services, a healthy & secure environment, livelihood opportunities, and participation in important life decisions to make them self-reliant. Marginalized children and youth are its target group & we are empowering them through relevant education, innovative healthcare and market-based livelihood programmes. While our focus as a development organisation has been first and foremost to work on the ground for bringing positive change in the lives of the less privileged children and families, we have been making equal efforts to sustain this change, by sensitising and engaging the community towards their social responsibility and their developmental needs and initiate them to address those needs, develop their capacities, utilize local wisdom, encourage community participation, allocate and delegate responsibilities, develop linkages with govt. agencies, maintain follow up and feedback, with emphasis on treating family as the basic unit for development.

Day Care Centres
The NIPUN Creches programme was originally started for the children of domestic servant, maid & construction workers residing at J.J. Clusters/Constructing Site is inhabited by the poor and marginalized families most of whom have migrated from the neighbouring states in search of some employment. Casual labour, domestic services, rickshaw pullers and petty trading are among the major sources of livelihood. Both of the parents usually go for work to meet both ends of the family. The children do not receive due attention. In any case education is not their priority. The children are left at home at the mercy of Almighty during the day hours when the parents go out for work. Frequently, the children have to do without food till the mothers comes back home to cook the evening meal. The elder children look after the young children but they themselves are usually young enough to need constant care themselves. Security, especially for the girls are one more issue that they face while they are
