PIF's Center of Data for Economic Decision-making (CoDED) is dedicated to shifting the paradigm of economic development from a top-down to a bottom-up approach, focusing on the estimation of Gross District Domestic Product (DDP) to improve national planning accuracy. The unit devises new methodologies to gauge district incomes and facilitates the formulation of vision documents and district development blueprints at the local level. CoDED has signed MoUs with the Government of Assam (June 2023), the Madhya Pradesh Rajya NITI Aayog and DES, and is running PMUs directly within state directorates for 2-year mandates.

India Lead Elimination Action Partnership (i-LEAP)
Lead poisoning is one of India's most overlooked public health crises, disproportionately affecting children. PIF's i-LEAP initiative leads evidence-gathering, policy advocacy, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to eliminate lead exposure from India's environment. PIF signed an MoU with AIIMS Nagpur to conduct India's first nationwide pediatric lead exposure study — assessing blood lead levels (BLLs) and their cognitive and behavioural impact on children. PIF was awarded the Fortune Leadership Award for tackling lead poisoning in India.
