VIF aims to train and mentor the future leaders of India while focussing on systemic tools like public policy and governance to bring a change and eng Read moreage the youth in these domains. The organisation works in close partnership with state governments, cities, elected representatives, quasi-government organisations, grassroots organisations and academicians to work on different dimensions of public policy and governance. VIF's flagship programmes include Fellowship which is a three-year full-time program with mentorship, financial support and a combination of field work, research projects and partnerships with government departments. The second initiative is Policy BootCamp which includes150 delegates selected from across the country for 21 days of residential training on policy and governance issues. The third program is Good Governance Yatra which is a travel based immersion program to get a first-hand exposure of governance and includes selection of 20 governance based projects for a 10-day yatra with 30 yatris with an aim to gain exposure and to interact with the government. The fourth initiative is the World Governance Expedition which is an international travel program to identify best practices in governance from other countries where 30 delegates meet global public leaders and discuss key policy issues. The fifth initiative includes the Change Agents Retreat which involves a brainstorming meet of 50 selected alumni and associates to discuss topics related to strategic nation-building. Since 2014 VIF has mentored and trained more than 500 youth from across the nation and abroad.
