NOCOME Trust is a charitable organisation established in 2005 with a mission to care for and rehabilitate orphaned and abandoned children, elderly peo Read moreple discarded on the streets, women ostracized by their families, and individuals with disabilities in India. Founded by Mr. P. Sakthivel, who hails from a modest background, the organisation was born out of his personal experiences and deep commitment to helping the deprived and neglected. Initially, with limited resources from his tea stall, he provided shelter and food to orphaned children, eventually gaining support from the local community. Today, the trust cares for around 227 individuals, including orphaned children, the elderly, mentally challenged children, destitute women, and physically disabled individuals, supported by local donations. NOCOME Trust operates in two locations, one for elders and disabled individuals and another for children and destitute women. Its vision and mission revolve around promoting the abilities of underprivileged children and senior citizens, offering education, guidance, love, and care to help them lead lives of dignity. it acts as a bridge for these individuals, preparing them to contribute positively to society. Its ongoing commitment to social responsibility aims to provide a brighter future for these innocent lives.

Short Stay Home Programme for Women
In response to the unmet needs of destitute women in society who often lack proper care from their families, the Nocome Trust operates a Short Stay Home. This facility provides comprehensive support to deprived and underprivileged women, addressing their specific challenges and providing a safe and supportive environment.

Education Programme
Recognizing the distinct needs of street children, Nocome Trust acknowledges that these children have diverse educational backgrounds. Some have never experienced formal schooling, while others dropped out at various stages. Unfortunately, during their time living on the streets, these children often do not receive any formal education.

Nocome Trust offers healthcare services to rural communities lacking access to medical care. Its mobile facility is equipped with essential resources and serves rural areas, providing medical assistance. For more complex cases, it refers individuals to the nearest multi-speciality hospital, ensuring comprehensive healthcare support for these underserved communities.

Orphanage Home Programme
Navakiraga Orphanage Care Home, a charitable trust, offers shelter, sustenance, education, and medical care to 70 orphaned children, including those from the streets, newborns, and victims of sexual abuse.

Elder Home Programme
Vaitheeswaran Thaiyal Nayagi Old Age Home, operated by the Nocome Trust, offers shelter, sustenance, medical assistance, and recreational activities to abandoned and vulnerable elderly individuals.

Skill Development Programme
Life Skills Training, an initiative by the Nocome Trust, aims to provide destitute women with vocational skills training in courses that lead to sustainable livelihoods. Through this programme, women gain the skills necessary to earn a living independently, allowing them to lead dignified lives.
