  • Entrepreneurship Development Programme

    The Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) is designed to cultivate essential entrepreneurial skills in individuals, equipping them to establish and manage their own ventures successfully. Through a structured curriculum, participants learn to identify viable business opportunities, conduct analyses, develop strategic plans, and establish key connections. The program focuses on instilling creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, all of which are vital for navigating the complexities of entrepreneurship. By the end of EDP, candidates are empowered with the knowledge and skills to confidently launch and sustain their enterprises, contributing to economic growth and innovation.

  • Entrepreneurship Programme for SHG women

    The Entrepreneurship Programme, supported by the Women Development Corporation of Tamil Nadu, empowers women in the Nilgiris district to become successful entrepreneurs. Designed specifically for women in Self-Help Groups (SHGs), the programme provided intensive training to 25 participants, equipping them with essential skills to identify viable business opportunities, conduct thorough market analysis, and create robust business plans. Additionally, the women were connected to various government schemes and banking institutions, ensuring access to financial resources to kickstart their ventures. This initiative fosters economic independence and encourages sustainable community growth.

  • Child Rights and Education

    The Right to Education program by Bright Light Society focuses on eradicating child labor and promoting child rights for children under 18. Through extensive lobbying and awareness campaigns, BLS has made significant strides in protecting children’s rights and ensuring access to education. A recent event under this initiative highlighted the importance of child rights and encouraged local communities to support education and oppose child labor practices. The program engaged both children and adults, emphasizing the transformative power of education and aiming to build a safe, supportive environment for every child’s development.
