Social Health and Education Development India (SHED India)

Works to educate young people, both in and out of school, on HIV/AIDS prevention. The project's goal is to engage young people who are not enrolled in school and provide them with information about health issues, changes in their physical and mental states, as well as biological and associated effects on their relationships with others. Talk about the underlying causes of STDs, RTIs, and HIV/AIDS infections as well as potential preventative, management, and treatment strategies.

In order to improve the capacity of peer educators and promote HIV/AIDS Prevention Education in the Thanjavur corporation region through awareness, SHED INDIA collaborates with several organizations like ICTC, ART Centers, and Positive Network individuals. The UK's Mercury Pheonix Trust has been supporting this project since 2017.

In Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, and Tiruchirapalli districts, SHED INDIA implements the THOZHI project as the East Regional Coordination organization to coordinate with other organizations, stakeholders, and women workers for the welfare and betterment of women and girls working in the unorganized industries. This is a KFB/DKA, Austria-funded project promoted by DEEPS, Dharmapuri district, Tamil Nadu, having women-led NGOs working among the unorganized women workers working in various industries: tobacco, betel nut, coir, cashew nut, rice mills, silver smiths, textiles, and apparel, among others. By educating and organizing them to fight for their rights and better working conditions, SHED INDIA federates the women workers under the Thozhi-Tamil Nadu federation.
