Over 7 years, the organisation has evolved into a respected NGO with a clear vision and well-defined domains of action. Its mission encompasses fostering awareness about diverse social concerns, championing environmental cleanliness, and enhancing the overall well-being of the community. The organisation's vision centres on cultivating virtues that contribute to the creation of an improved society. Thuvakkam's mission is executed through multifaceted objectives, including promoting an understanding of clean and healthy environments, providing socially-conscious education and life skills to young individuals, offering support to economically disadvantaged and differently-abled populations, advocating for public awareness of social issues and global events, and actively pursuing social equality and welfare. Thuvakkam's dedication to these goals showcases its determination to be a catalyst for positive change and create a brighter future for generations to come.

Thuvakkam drives impactful environmental initiatives: Pasumai nurtures plants in the community for a sustainable future, while Native Tree Plantation counters air pollution. Clean and Color revamps public spaces with vibrant art, Give a Tree encourages tree planting, and Miyawaki Urban Forestry restores greenery to urban areas. Kitchen/Herbal Gardening reconnects people with nature, and Urban Forest Tree Registry establishes dense forests across Tamilnadu, embodying the organization's commitment to a greener, healthier environment.

Thuvakkam redefines education, nurturing future leaders with morality, politics, and technology skills. "karka kasadara" imparts practical knowledge, linking theoretical learning to societal realities. Unconventional topics like "Learn politics" build awareness and values. "Sponsor for Success" aids economically challenged students, alleviating financial barriers and enabling their education for individual and family progress. Thuvakkam thus shapes informed, empowered, and socially conscious individuals for a brighter future.

Thuvakkam's focus on humanity encompasses a range of impactful initiatives. Disaster relief efforts strategically formulate action plans to provide timely support during crises, utilizing donations and supplies to aid those in need. "Modern Thandora" creatively employs street art performances to communicate societal issues effectively, bridging the gap created by digital media desensitization. "Mannin Maidhargal" engages with special and needy individuals, offering companionship, games, storytelling, and material support. "Kural" embraces positive journalism to highlight solutions and foster awareness of social issues through media, discussions, and activities. The "Zero Hunger Drive" addresses the UN's Sustainable Development Goal of achieving zero hunger by 2030, distributing food to the needy and contributing to India's malnutrition challenge. 75 Days of Change Programme
Thuvakkam initiated the "75 Days of Change" campaign to coincide with India's 75th Independence anniversary and the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Government initiative. This intensive 75-day volunteering effort aimed to unite diverse groups under the shared goal of 'Being the Change' and enhancing societal well-being. By fostering a greener urban environment, creating and maintaining urban forests, and conducting educational sessions, Thuvakkam endeavoured to establish an eco-friendly ecosystem while educating volunteers about sustainability. The initiative encompassed various events including education, tree planting, care activities, art, discussions, and games, significantly contributing to societal betterment. This collective effort involved CSR partners, Government officials, schools, colleges, and dedicated volunteers, resulting in a successful marathon of 81 events that positively impacted 31.5k lives.
