Key Achievements (Till March 2025) • Education: o 26,490 students accessed Book Bank services. o 444 students received scholarships worth INR 32 lakh. o 200 bicycles distributed to girl students. o 1,421 educational kits provided. o E-learning setup for 213 students in Dhamnand. o School renovation benefited 90 students. • Livelihood: o 575 farmers supported with Agri-entrepreneurship training. o 640 women empowered through non-farm income generation. • WASH: o 7,000+ individuals provided with improved sanitation and hygiene facilities. • Hamlet Development: o 1,304 villagers supported through ID, banking, and govt. scheme facilitation. • Disaster Relief: o Relief to 1,192 flood-affected families. o 11 tons of cattle fodder provided to 77 farmers.

Livelihood Enhancement Programme
Dishantar is actively implementing innovative farm and non-farm livelihood initiatives such as Project Annapurna and Project Udaan, designed to address the pressing livelihood challenges in rural Ratnagiri. These projects aim to enhance income generation opportunities and promote sustainable development in the region. We have not only established successful pilot models but have also effectively replicated them in other areas, demonstrating their scalability and impact.

WASH for All
Dishantar’s interventions in water, sanitation, and health (WASH) have brought meaningful and measurable improvements to the lives of underprivileged communities. Through the Sujal Project, safe drinking water was made accessible to 7000+ households, significantly promoting better hygiene and healthier living conditions.
To address chronic water scarcity, Dishantar undertook critical infrastructure enhancements, including the construction of RCC bunds and bore wells, benefiting hundreds of families across the region. In the sphere of sanitation, the organisation enabled the construction of 98 individual household latrines and public toilet facilities, contributing to dignity, privacy, and cleaner surroundings.
Milestones & Track Record
Dishantar has successfully implemented water conservation projects in over 10 villages, trained over 500 women in sustainable farming practices, and provided educational support to more than 1,000 vulnerable children.
