The Gandhi Research Foundation (GRF) is dedicated to preserving and spreading Mahatma Gandhi's core principles, including Truth, Ahimsa (non-violence) Read more, Peaceful Coexistence, Conservation, and Love for Labour. It aims to highlight the relevance of Gandhian solutions for contemporary global challenges through interdisciplinary research involving national and international experts. The GRF seeks to be a leading Gandhian research institution in India, maintaining high research standards. It plans to integrate applied research into education with initiatives like a Residential Research Fellowship Programme, Student Internship Programme, Biennial International Conference, Annual National Workshop, Founder's Day Annual Lecture, and a GRF Research Journal & Publication Series in English. The Foundation also offers practical training programmes in peace, nonviolence, organic living, and sustainable development, including a Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Reconstruction, Annual Winter School on Gandhian Nonviolence, Short-term Internships on Sustainable Development, and workshops on soft skills such as Conflict Transformation, Peace Building, Stress Management, and Gandhian Leadership.

  • Khoj Gandhiji Ki Museum

    The "Khoj Gandhiji Ki" museum is a multimedia exhibit, uniquely presenting Mahatma Gandhi's life and work through 30 dynamic segments. By visualizing Gandhi's experiences, it not only offers insights into his significant contributions but also serves as a tool for individuals to address contemporary global challenges. The primary objective of the museum is to instigate a transformation in the visitor's mindset by instilling the essence of Gandhi's message.

  • Winter School in Nonviolence and Peace Programme

    The Winter School in Nonviolence and Peace is an annual international training event lasting one week. It delves into the theoretical foundations of nonviolence, peace, and conflict resolution with the goal of reimagining a socially and environmentally sustainable way of life. Led by renowned scholars and practitioners of Gandhi's Sarvodaya philosophy, this interactive workshop guides participants in developing holistic perspectives to address global challenges and controversies. The programme includes meditative yoga sessions, experiential Peace Walks, observational Bird Watching, and interactive sharing of personal experiences related to peace. Open to students, peace activists, human rights supporters, and anyone interested in acquiring skills for peaceful and harmonious coexistence.

  • Conflict Transformation Workshop

    This program presents an effective strategy for addressing conflicts in various spheres of life, be it professional or personal. Conducted periodically as a three-day, 18-hour workshop, it enables participants to grasp the fundamentals of conflict, identify its root causes, and develop proactive responses. Moreover, it equips them with a range of tools, techniques, and methods to transform conflicts into creative experiences. Utilizing participatory games and exercises, the workshop introduces approximately a hundred concepts across six 3-hour sessions. This training is suitable for professionals, educators, community leaders, entrepreneurs, senior students, and homemakers, and it offers both online and on-campus attendance options.

  • Student Internship Programme

    The Gandhi Research Foundation (GRF) is an educational institution dedicated to rural development, actively engaged in fostering sustainable livelihoods in India's villages through applied research on social, economic, political, cultural, and environmental matters. Nestled in a pristine rural setting near Jalgaon, the GRF's campus is a pollution-free haven adorned with lush gardens and mango orchards. Equipped with an extensive library, archives, and a multimedia Gandhi museum, complemented by comfortable accommodations, the GRF offers an ideal environment for student interns to engage in a diverse range of educational experiences.

  • Peace Building Workshop

    This interactive workshop spans two days and delves into the understanding of peace, its principles, and the various methods to foster it among individuals, families, and communities in their social, economic, political, and ecological contexts. Through participatory activities and exercises, attendees gain a repertoire of tools and techniques to promote peace within their families and communities. It's open to anyone interested in cultivating harmony in society.

  • Sustainable Development Internship

    The Sustainable Development Internship targets young professionals and community leaders committed to social justice. This internship, lasting from one to three months, is open to young community leaders and CSR practitioners. It imparts a robust foundational understanding of sustainability and development. The focus is on introducing effective infrastructure and systemic approaches for fostering equitable development in rural communities. It covers areas such as agriculture, watershed management, sanitation, healthcare, education, and entrepreneurship. Board and lodging are available at a reduced rate, while the training is provided free of charge.
