Working with ideology to serve visually challenged from cradle to later stage of life NAB, India has following departments: Blindness Prevention, Nurs Read moreery, Education, Talking Books, Braille Press, Rehabilitation, Vocational Training, Employment, Advocacy, Client Service, Research and Library, Recreation, Women’s Empowerment, State Branches, Community Based Rehabilitation, Home for Elderly Blind, Centre for Blind Women, Agricultural and Rural Training Centre and Adjustment and Training Centre.

Milestones & Track Record

Founded in 1952, NAB established the first Braille press in India in 1957, set up a Talking Book Library in 1963, and initiated computer training programs for the visually impaired in 1988.
