Nityaasha Foundation is a registered charitable trust established in 2013, dedicated to helping underprivileged children with Type 1 Diabetes. Nityaasha provides free medical aid to these children and also helps in creating a complete and holistic circle of care for children suffering from this unrelenting condition. Counselling, dietary and lifestyle advice, training and support are all provided to ensure sustained, all-round wellbeing and development of the child. Nityaasha monitors the child's health on a continuous basis through home, school and centre visits, follow-up calls, etc. It also educates and motivates the children, their parents and school to deal with this disorder with confidence, clearing all fears or misconceptions. The Nityaasha team of social workers, dieticians and trained counsellors works closely with paediatric endocrinologists from various local hospitals in Pune, who refer needy children to Nityaasha for assistance.
