The SAAD Foundation has reached over 38,980 individuals through the Jan Jagruti Abhiyan, distributed 10,000+ school stationery and books, supported 300+ families in flood-affected areas, provided 56,800+ food packets during the lockdown, reached 6,390+ students through the SABLA project, conducted 1,450+ cataract surgeries, and distributed 36,460+ spectacles.

  • Project Drushti

    District

    Project Drushti, initiated by the SAAD Foundation in September 2013, collaborates with non-profit organisations and healthcare providers to prevent blindness among underprivileged communities. Through eye camps and check-ups in Maharashtra, the project raises awareness about visual impairments and offers outreach eye care services. Drushti aims to improve living standards by working on primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention levels. It strives to prevent blindness, educate about avoidable visual impairments, and provide free surgical management at a tertiary care hospital. Services include precise eye tests, refractive assessments, visual acuity tests, colour vision tests, cataract identification, required investigations, counselling, cataract operations, and post-operative follow-up care.

  • Project Arogya

    District

    Project Arogya, implemented by the SAAD Foundation, focuses on raising health awareness and providing general health care services in Mumbai's urban slums. With the support of All Cargo Logistics Pvt Ltd's CSR initiative, the foundation organizes annual health check-up camps. These camps cater to the health needs of the underprivileged population, offering a comprehensive range of services including general screening, blood pressure checking, and distribution of free medicines. The objective is to create awareness about general health, provide healthcare services, and offer counselling on basic healthcare and hygiene practices. The unique approach of Project Arogya prioritizes health promotion, prevention, and curative care in a holistic manner.

  • Project Manav Children Home

    District

    Project Manav Children Home, initiated by the SAAD Foundation in 2018, is a comprehensive care programme aimed at the well-being of underprivileged children. It serves as an open shelter home for homeless and deprived children aged 6 to 15 years. The project focuses on reintegrating drop-out children into schools by collaborating with various institutes. The Manav Children Home provides support to children in various aspects, including their basic needs such as food and hygiene, education, and social needs. Additionally, the project offers after-care support through workshops, counselling, medical care, and recreational activities. Services provided at Manav Children Home include education, nutrition, healthcare, counselling, and coaching for extra-curricular activities.

  • Project SABLA

    District

    Project SABLA (Adolescent Health and Women) by the SAAD Foundation aims to empower India's large adolescent population, particularly girls, through education and training. It recognizes the need for access to information and life skills during this formative stage of life. The project focuses on raising awareness about personal health, hygiene, and nutrition through health camps and sessions for women. Additionally, it seeks to empower 2000 women and adolescent girls aged 11 to 40 years by providing training in life skills, women's safety, fire safety, and first aid. The project operates for six months in schools around Mumbai, emphasizing the physical and psychological health of adolescents.

  • Project Jan Jagruti Abhiyan

    District

    Project Jan Jagruti Abhiyan by the SAAD Foundation raises awareness about electrical hazards in areas prone to accidents near electrical towers and transmission wires. It focuses on educating residents of slum areas, where houses are in close proximity to high voltage lines. The project aims to develop an awareness campaign, promoting safety measures and fostering attitude and behaviour change. Objectives include creating an implementation strategy, establishing a monitoring and evaluation mechanism, and providing reports on behaviour changes. It also addresses operational structure, execution modalities, fund utilization, implementation plan, schedule, monitoring process, and reporting mechanisms for effective programme execution.
