The organisation's efforts have been recognised in Purba Medinipur and neighbouring districts, highlighting its influence and reach. Despite its efforts, Haldia Vigyan Parisad continues to combat religious fundamentalism, unscientific beliefs, and superstitions such as astrology, witchcraft, and amulets. Its work has earned it prestigious awards, including the 'Meghnad Puraskar' in 1993 for popularising science, and the 'Environment Excellence Award' from the West Bengal Cleaner Production Centre, recognising its significant contributions to environmental awareness.

Computer Training Programme
Haldia Vigyan Parisad established the Webel Computer Training Centre in Haldia on 23 November 1993. This centre has trained over 7,000 students, many now employed in reputable institutions. It has 95 students enrolled in courses such as DSA, DFA, CCA, and Webel Informatics. The centre also offers skill development training with financial support from the Employment Exchange. To enhance its popularity, plans are underway to introduce new courses, including a tutorial home/coaching centre for students up to class X/H.S. and a spoken English course in collaboration with a renowned educational institute.

Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS)
The Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) in Nandigram-2, launched on 1 December 1999, has steadily expanded its reach and impact. Despite challenges, the dedicated staff actively participate in various government programmes. The project operates 142 Anganwadi centres, serving 114,383 people in Nandigram-2 block. It provides essential services to children under six and pregnant mothers from below-the-poverty-line families, including nutrition and health awareness, vaccinations, pre-primary education, and programmes for self-help groups. Additionally, it offers health, food, and education initiatives for adolescents aged 15-18.
